Thanks and Future Possibilities!
As a West Virginia naitive and a current resident of North Carolina, I felt moved to return to my home state in order to offer my time and my presence after the devastating flood that impacted so many residents. Hands on WV provided me with not only lodging and food but also the means to help. Each day started and ended with great food and fellowship in Charleston, but our goal was to serve in Clendenin where we volunteered with ongoing flood relief efforts. Most of our time was spent hanging drywall in the home of an older adult who lost everything to the river except the shell of her home . The best part of our time in this community, however, was the time we spent building relationships with these residents who shared their stories–their joys and their concerns–with us. Please consider joining Hands on WV in their mission to connect volunteers with this much needed flood relief in the heart of the Mountain State. #WVStrong
